Memory problems and mild vertigo turned out to be a brain tumor

Проблеми с паметта и леки световъртежи се оказаха тумор в мозъка - превю

My name is Gergana Derentseva, 49 years old, I live in Blagoevgrad - Bulgaria.

I am a teacher of economics by profession.

At the beginning of 2020, I felt memory problems - forgetting names, difficulty in preparing lessons and slight vertigo. A brain tumor was detected on a head scan and I had to have emergency surgery in a hospital in Sofia. After the first operation I developed infections and had to have two more operations in Sofia, but after the third operation I consulted the neurosurgeon Assoc. Prof. Dr. Toktash From Medical Park - Istanbul and it was found that a bone had to be removed from the head that was causing the infection.

В Medical Park Hospital - Istanbul a successful operation was performed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zafer Toktashafter which he underwent radiotherapy and chemotherapy at the Istanbul Cancer Hospital.

I have now finished chemotherapy which lasted 1 year.

During 3 months the neurosurgeon Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zafer Toktash is monitoring my condition via MRI and so far everything is normal. I hope it continues like this!

Thanks to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Toktash and to the whole team of the Health Information Center Medical Karadži!

Greetings,
Gergana Derentseva
