It's been the mandatory six months to restore my upper jaw after my mother's implants were placed in January 2022. With the great assistance of ZIC "Medical Karadži" everything was organized and on 25.07.2022 we arrived for our second visit to Denthealth Dental Clinic - Istanbul. We were greeted with utmost care and concern for the patient's condition. Indeed, the last six months have not been easy for my mother- it has been almost impossible for her to eat- mostly pureed foods and soups. The prosthesis made in Bulgaria was quite uncomfortable, and she was worried about using it for a long time, so as not to press on the implants.

The important thing is that the time has come for the new crowns. At the clinic they did an examination and panoramic photo and the implants were ready for the crowns. The next day we were free as we had to wait for the denture preparation. But we were not bored. Istanbul is an amazing city - sometimes a real test for the senses, but more times than not, in a good way.
We took advantage of the time and visited Madame Tussauds, took a boat ride to the Asian part of Istanbul, visited the famous Watergarden mall where we enjoyed a real water and fire show. We also visited the Iron Church of St. Stephen - a unique place with a very strong spiritual energy.
The Dental Clinic "Denthelt"
Denthelt Dental Clinic is located in a very communicative location, which allowed us to walk to many other interesting destinations in Istanbul. The third day of our stay was the first crown fitting. Everything was measured, adjustments were made and we chose the color. The next day we visited the clinic in the morning for final measurements and by the afternoon the crowns were in place.
During the procedures there was some discomfort due to the casts being taken and the fact that the gums were a bit sore and because of the periodontal disease. We were also given a specially made nighttime mouthguard. During this time the patient generally forgets what it is like to have teeth and can injure them without asking during sleep. Everything went well and the Hollywood smile is now a fact! My mother says that for her it is not the look but the functionality of her new smile that is important. I can't tell you the joy she had the next day picking out what to have for breakfast- literally wanting to put on everything she hadn't had in months.
