My child was born with a diagnosis of Spina Bifida - Lipo Myelomeningocele, his surgeries started when he was 1,5 years old. He went through and started a relatively normal development. In 2017 he developed Tetracord Syndrome - an anchored spinal cord, from which his gait started to change - a limp appeared with his right leg.
We made consultations, tests with orthopedist, neurologist, neurosurgeon - they told us that we need an emergency surgery - August 2017 in Tokuda Sofia Hospital. This did not improve the condition, on the contrary it continued to make walking difficult, and cysts appeared in the spinal cord - but the doctors assured us that everything was fine. In February 2019 we again had full investigations and consultations where it was seen that complications were developing very quickly. Already the syringomyelia had covered almost the entire spinal cord, there was also a deep wound on the sole of the foot which for months - over 10 could not heal.
We did a consultation with his doctor who told us that everything with the surgery was very good!??!???!??!?.... and then we realized that in Bulgaria the possibilities for treatment of our child are over. From Tokuda Hospital we went directly to the office of Medical Karaj where with the help of Eleni we sent a request for consultation. After a few days we received the opinion of Assoc. Toktashwho explained to us briefly and clearly what the situation is and what needs to be done and what will happen if it is not done.
On 22.07.2019 we were in Istanbul at the bus station a car from the hospital met us and the miracle began. Textbook work, full examinations and consultations, /because this is a complex disease, not piecemeal as in Bulgaria so far in one hospital spine, in another hospital legs, in a third hospital bladder/. Here Assoc. Prof. Dr. Toktash knew what he was doing and what he was treating. I claim that they did here in 10 days what no one in Bulgaria wanted to do or managed to do in 10 years!
In October, with great pleasure and confidence, we returned to the same hospital for the second stage of treatment - surgery on both legs so that he could walk normally. I am impressed by her words Prof. Dr. Khalil Becklerwho told me at the examination that the child should be operated on so that his psyche would not change and he would walk normally.
I give the office of the Health Information Center Medical Karadjy Varna a score of 6+++.
Vessie - showed extreme care and concern for a patient she had only seen once. Everything that the centre's website says happened just right, I was extremely relaxed, with a feeling that a representative of the centre was with me at all times.
