More than a year ago we were approached by S.T. The patient had a severe form of kidney failure, on hemodialysis every 2 days. He was consulted in several hospitals , but doctors refused kidney transplant. Patient's mother could not be a donor due to previous kidney surgery. The multiple complications and long healing process of the patient further made the transplant even more complicated.
Until yesterday, when prof. Barash Yakin performed the brilliantly complex, unique kidney transplant on S.T., with his father as the donor.
