On January 4, 2023, a meeting was held in Istanbul between the Ambassador of Bulgaria to Turkey - Angel Cholakov and the Director General of Pegasus Airlines - Ms. Güliz Öztürk in connection with the new Istanbul - Plovdiv - Istanbul air route. Its opening is an emblematic launch of the program to promote our country as a destination for business, culture and tourism "Season of Bulgaria in Turkey 2023".
The flights start on 18 February 2023. Frequencies will be twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and will be operated with Boeing 737 and Airbus 320 aircraft, with a capacity of 180 passengers. The first flight is now open for bookings. The planes will arrive at Sabiha Gökçen Airport, which is located in the Asian part of Istanbul.
Patients of ZIC "Medical Karaj" who choose this way of travel will have free transfers from the airport to the chosen medical institution.
