VitalBeam® offers high intensity mode technology (Flattening Filter Free) for faster treatment in complex cases.
The device seamlessly integrates imaging, treatment and motion control. It has an intuitive interface, with included features for automated and guided workflows. Integrates with the ARIA® Oncology Information System and Eclipse™ Treatment Planning System for simplified treatment planning and management. Enables work acceleration with automated, customizable action sequences.
VitalBeam® combines intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) and image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT), with image guidance and breath tracking for motion control. Includes adaptive Rapidarc technology for faster IMRT therapy, a higher dose delivery system and a cone beam CT (CBCT) imaging system.
With VitalBeam® it is possible to carry out complex treatment with the use of advanced radiotherapy techniques. This includes intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) and RapidArc® radiotherapy technology in one routine treatment session.

The VitalBeam® device allows the physician to determine the tumor boundaries with great precision. At the same time, monitor its location during treatment and make adjustments to the patient's positioning for better accuracy.
Tumors of the chest and abdomen move every time you breathe. When targeting a tumor in these areas, VitalBeam® continuously monitors its movement and delivers radiation only when it is in the right place. With respiratory strobing, the treatment beam automatically shuts off when the tumor moves out of the targeted area.
When creating 3D images, VitalBeam® uses a 25% lower radiation dose compared to previous imaging technologies.
Varian's RapidArc® technology, which is integrated into the VitalBeam® system, can deliver a precisely calculated 3D radiation dose to the entire tumor. This is done very quickly, often with a single 360-degree rotation of the machine around the patient, usually in just a few minutes.
What is the procedure?
Automation of the system helps reduce treatment time. Treatment is usually done on an outpatient basis, with most sessions taking less than an hour, so patients can resume their daily lives.
VitalBeam works quietly and smoothly, quickly and precisely.
With the device's improved communication technology, the therapist can maintain constant voice contact with the patient to help them feel at ease. Three video monitors allow the therapist to observe the patient throughout the process. Music can be played during treatment to help relax and calm the patient.
