On 19 and 20 October 2018, Bulgaria will host Assoc. Sabri Javkaitar - one of the top specialists of Bahçeci Health Group, known for its high success rate in in vitro procedures. In addition to the experience and authority of one of the leading IVF clinics in the world, Assoc. Javkaitar will provide Bulgarian patients with information about two brand new tests that further increase the success rate of in vitro procedures, especially in couples with repeated failed attempts and miscarriages. They have been applied at the Bahceci clinic very recently and for the first time in Turkey, simultaneously with the best in vitro centres in the world.
Assoc. Sabri Javkaitar will consult for free couples with reproductive problems in Sofia at the invitation of Zvezdelina Lutfi, manager of the Health Information Center "Medical Karaj", within their initiative to provide Bulgarian patients with access to the most advanced methods in medicine, partnering with some of the best medical institutions and specialists from around the world.
A new era in in vitro fertilization - the EMMA and ALICE tests
Until recently, the uterine environment was considered completely sterile, but it was found that there were microorganisms in it. Some of them are beneficial and allow pregnancy to occur as well as continue in a healthy way. In the uterus, there is a presence of microbes that we call lactobacilli and that facilitate the formation and maintenance of pregnancy.
With the EMMA test, the value of the lactobacilli is examined and if they have reached the required level, the embryo transfer is carried out in order to increase the chance of pregnancy.
The ALICE test, on the other hand, examines the value of harmful microorganisms in the uterine environment in order to detect chronic endometritis or disease in the uterus, to which the formation of microbes is due. About 25% of patients with repeated failed IVF attempts have a chronic endometrial problem. The ALICE test is used specifically to detect and treat this chronic endometritis. When a problem is present, treatment is given, after which the success rate for pregnancy in these patients increases significantly.
One baby every 2.5 hours
Bahçeji Health Group unites 12 clinics in 7 countries and was founded by one of the pioneers of in vitro fertilization in Turkey - Prof. Dr. Mustafa Bahçeji. Each of the clinics has a reproductive success rate above the European average, achieving impressive results even in severe cases of infertility. The 400-plus specialists working at Bahceci like to say that they are part of the largest family in Turkey with 40,000 babies, in which a new life is born every two and a half hours. This is also due to the rapid introduction of the most innovative methods in this rapidly developing field, which allow for an increasingly high success rate even in couples who until recently were thought to have no chance of having a baby. Genetic screening, complex chromosome screening, the measurement of endometrial receptivity ERA and new solutions to increase the probability of pregnancy (MicroFilter-Fertile Ultimate, MitoScore and slow-motion imaging) contribute to this.
Couples from Bulgaria who are interested in in vitro fertilization can now consult for free with Dr. Sabri Javkaitar on October 19 and 20, by making an appointment at the following phone numbers "Medical Karaj": 0879 977 401 or 0879 977 402.
