Who is Dr. Samet Yardamjee?
Dr. Samet Yardamji, MD, is a specialist in gastroenterology and general surgery, metabolic surgery and obesity.
He graduated with honors from Ankara Medical University and then continued his education with specialization in oncologic surgery and organ transplantation at MD Anderson Cancer Center and Memorial Hermann Hospital - Houston, USA.
He returned to Istanbul and won first place in a general surgery competition. After successfully completing his training at the same time, Dr. Yardamci became the youngest surgeon in the field of gastroenterology in Turkey. He was assigned to University Hospital where he taught general surgery students and participated in numerous studies to improve laparoscopic, bariatric and metabolic surgery. He also made major contributions to organ transplantation research. For all this he was recognized at the International Transplant Congress where he was awarded the Best Young Investigator Award.
In 2017 he completed his training in revision bariatric surgery in Belgium and was then awarded the title of Associate Professor.
Throughout his career to date, he has interacted with thousands of patients, working in centers performing more than 2,000 surgeries a year.
Currently, Dr. Samet Yardamci is practicing at the General Surgery Clinic of Medical Park Pendik Hospital, Istanbul.
