Additional information

Prof. Dr. Volkan Tugju was the first person to perform a robotic kidney transplant in Turkey in 2015 and ranks second in the world, performing over 90 kidney transplants using robotic surgery. At a congress held in 2017, transplant surgeons of the American School of Medicine in the United States witnessed Prof. Tugju performing a robotic kidney transplant, live streaming the procedure.
