Prof. Dr. Rainer Kotz is a specialized orthopedic oncologist with more than 50 years of experience in complex orthopedic surgeries.
He graduated at the University of Vienna, after which he went to the USA, where he completed his internship. There he specialized and in 1970 received another medical degree from the Board of Education.
In 1974 he returned from the USA and completed his specialisation in orthopaedics and oncological orthopaedics at the University of Vienna.
After completing his education Prof. Prof. Rainer Kotz started working at the Department of Orthopaedics at the University of Vienna.
He was later promoted to Deputy Director in the same department of oncological orthopaedics.
For about 4 years, the specialist served in the USA, where he created and defended his thesis on paediatric oncological orthopaedics, and then went to Austria.
During his regular practice in Vienna, the specialist visits many countries where he is a visiting doctor.
He is currently practicing as a senior specialist at Wiener Privatklinik, Vienna.
