Univ. Prof. Dr. Gerhard Wundt

Univ. Prof. Dr. Gerhard Undt is a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery.

From 1973 to 1983 he trained at the Medical School of the University of Vienna. Over the years he made numerous study visits to hospitals in Europe and the USA:

• In 1975 he specialized in plastic surgery under prof. In 1977 he studied internal medicine at the St. Milazi Hospital in Vienna. Hildehard in Berlin and oral and maxillofacial surgery with prof. Prof. Rermann in Düsseldorf.
• In 1979 he studied vascular surgery under prof. Gillette and plastic surgery under prof. Riberg in Besançon, France, and traumatology under prof. Vichen and cardiovascular surgery with prof. Rivera in Madrid, Spain.
• In 1983 he specialized in caridology with prof. Helmer in Stockholm, Sweden and received a doctorate in medicine from the University of Vienna.
• In 1984 he did his military service and then became an assistant at the Vienna Psychiatric Hospital.
• From 1985 to 1989 he was an assistant at the Wilhelmine Hospital, Vienna.
• From 1994 to 1996 he received clinical training in dentistry from the University Clinic of Dentistry in Vienna. He graduated with excellent grades and became a senior surgeon at the University Clinic of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
• In 1997, he visited the hospitals and departments of various universities in North Carolina and California, USA as an assistant professor.

Specialization

• Prof. Prof. Wundt has specialized in temporomandibular joint dysfunctions since 1992. In 1998, he became the director of the TMJ, Myofunctional and Facial Pain Clinic at the Vienna University Clinic for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
• In 2000, he received his Doctorate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and his Doctorate in Dentistry.
• In 2001, he became associate professor of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
• Since 2003, he has been a visiting professor and performed surgeries in the Departments of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the medical universities and hospitals of Souss (Tunisia), Udine (Italy), Budapest (Hungary), Shanghai (China), Rome (Italy), Dresden (Germany) and Ljubljana (Slovenia).
