Prof. Dr. Xavier Rouira Baliarda has more than 23 years of experience in his field. He graduated from the Medical University of Barcelona in 1989. He received his specialization in cardiovascular surgery at the Hospital Santa Creu i Sant Pau, in Barcelona, between 1991 and 1995. He is the head of the Cardiac Surgery Department at the Hospital Tecnon Barcelona and under his direction more than 5000 cardiac surgical procedures have been performed with excellent results. Over the years, Dr. Xavier Rouira's team developed the "Intelligent Cardiac Surgery Program", which is aimed at minimizing the aggressiveness of procedures on the heart and the whole body. The facilities at the Technon Hospital Medical Center allow for complete diagnosis and comprehensive treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Dr. Ruyra's motto is "A Personalized Approach.
