The stress was great, there were times when I refused to be treated. Supported by my family, I still saw a few specialists, but the prognosis was a lifetime stoma.
My wife contacted Zvezdelina (we call her Stars).
Stars, sent my research to several hospitals in Istanbul where it was possible to start treatment.
After consultations and examinations by Prof Dr Tuelden Yummuk - Oncologist , Prof Dr Ygur Selek - Radiation Oncologist and Prof Dr Dursun Bugra, the decision was firm. I start treatment in American Hastanesi.
I had a rough time getting through radiation and chemo, but it was all worth it. So now after 5 months of treatment, I understand that surgery is not recommended at this stage.
Words fail me to express my gratitude to the entire team of professionals (coordinator, translators and medical professionals).
A bow to humanity and professionalism. I have no recommendations, the team that works has a wonderful relationship with patients and coordinators from the same hospital. They are all great professionals who have come to the right place and to whom we can say a heartfelt THANK YOU! They have exceeded my expectations.
Everyone chooses their own path of treatment. I recommend that if you have a health problem, seek out Stars and leave the rest to her!
