Prof. Dr. Çalar Çuhadaroğlu is a specialist in pulmonary diseases and sleep disorders.
Prof. Dr. Çalar Çuhadaroğlu started his training in pulmonology at Istanbul Medical University, Department of Chest Diseases.
He acquired his specialty in 1995.
Along with this training, Prof. Dr. Cihadaroglu studied sleep disorders at the University of Edinburgh and in 1993 he established the country's first sleep laboratory at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Istanbul.
During his internship and training at Istanbul Medical Faculty, Prof. Dr. Çalar Çuçadaroğlu participated in pharmacoeconomics studies and did joint research and dissertations with the Departments of Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Sports Medicine, Gastroenterology, Dentistry and Psychiatry.
During this time he gave voluntary practice in the bronchoscopy department and in the smoking cessation clinic.
In 2004 he acquired the title of Associate Professor.
He transferred to Acıbadem University in 2009. He was appointed head of the Department of Chest Diseases. He received the title of professor in 2010. In the same year, he was appointed as the chief physician of Açıbadem Maslak Hospital.
Prof. Çalar Çuçadaroğlu has more than 40 publications in foreign journals, nearly 100 presentations at international congresses and participation in about 18 book chapters. He has a book titled "Mental Notes on Chest Diseases".
He has held conferences in Turkey, TRNC, Georgia, South Korea, USA, Azerbaijan, Switzerland, Croatia, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Egypt and Greece.
He is a consultant to national and international drug development and clinical research committees;
Prof. Prof. Çalar Çuhadaroğlu successfully diagnoses lung diseases with innovative bronchoscopy and biopsy techniques, and applies laser treatment of sleep apnea through laser-assisted uvulopalatoplasty.
