University Hospital Koch
Koç University Hospital is one of the leading hospitals in our southern neighbour. It was established in 2014 as a hospital for medical research and training of young professionals.
Dr. Ilker Eren was born in Istanbul in 1982. He completed his medical education at the Faculty of Medicine of Istanbul University in 2006. In 2012, he completed his specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology. Between 2012-2014, he worked at Erzurum Regional Training and Research Hospital to complete his community service obligation. During his medical education, he served as Director of Student Exchange and Secretary General in the International Medical Students Committee (TurkMSIC). In 2008, he started working as the technical editor of Acta Orthopaedica et Traumatologica, which continues to this day. He started working at American Hospital in 2014. In the same year, with the opening of Koç University Hospital, he started his current work in the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology. He has been working as a faculty member at the Koch University School of Medicine since 2017. In 2019, he visited important centers in the field of shoulder and elbow surgery in Europe with the scholarship of European Society of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. He will receive the title of associate professor in 2020.
In 2013, he became a member of TOTEK by successfully passing the Turkish Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology's proficiency exam. In 2016, he obtained the FEBOT (Fellow of the European Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology) designation by successfully passing the European Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (EBOT) examination.

Assoc. Dr. Ilker Eren has conducted research on shoulder and scapular problems, rotator cuff problems of the shoulder, shoulder instability and frozen shoulder in patients with fascioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy.
