Acıbadem started its journey in providing healthcare services as a small district hospital in one of the neighborhoods of Istanbul, Turkey. Today, Acıbadem is a super brand that takes its rightful place among the global leaders in healthcare, with its 22 hospitals, 18 outpatient clinics and support services companies. Acıbadem's rapid growth led to the signing of a partnership agreement with IHH Healthcare in 2012, allowing them to become part of the second largest healthcare chain in the world.
Their goal of expanding beyond the country's borders began in 2011, with the Acibadem Sistina Hospital in Skopje, Macedonia. This was followed by the acquisition of Tokuda Group and City Clinic Group in Bulgaria in 2016. With this step, Acıbadem Healthcare Group became the largest healthcare provider in Bulgaria. Subsequently, the expansion continued with the opening of Acıbadem International Medical Center in Amsterdam in 2017, with a built-up area of 5,000 sqm. The Group's international investments resulted in the addition of 4 hospitals and 5 outpatient clinics.
In addition to hospitals and medical centers, Acıbadem Healthcare Group offers a global integrated healthcare ecosystem model. This ecosystem includes various support service institutions and a university.
AcıbademUniversity trains future health professionals using modern and dynamic educational programs, with a strong academic teaching team.
