Who is Dr. Samet Yardamjee?
Dr. Samet Yardamji, MD, is a specialist in gastroenterology and general surgery, metabolic surgery and obesity.
He graduated with honors from Ankara Medical University and then continued his education with specialization in oncologic surgery and organ transplantation at MD Anderson Cancer Center and Memorial Hermann Hospital - Houston, USA.
He returned to Istanbul and won first place in a general surgery competition. After successfully completing his training, at that time, Dr. Yardamci also became the youngest surgeon in the field of gastroenterology in Turkey. He was assigned to University Hospital where he taught general surgery students and also participated in many studies to improve laparoscopic, bariatric and metabolic surgery. He has also made major contributions in organ transplantation research. At the International Congress of Transplantation, he was awarded the Best Young Investigator Award in connection with his achievements.
In 2017 he completed his training in revision bariatric surgery in Belgium and was then awarded the title of Associate Professor.
Over the years of his career so far, Dr. Yardamjee has worked in centers that perform over 2,000 surgeries a year.
Currently, Dr. Samet Yardamci is practicing at the General Surgery Clinic of Medical Park Pendik Hospital, Istanbul.
