In his practice today, Prof. Dr. Karaman applies the innovative ROSI technique, which he uses in the treatment of azoospermia, a disease causing infertility in men. Men diagnosed with azoospermia, without mature sperm in the semen, can benefit from the ROSI technique. In some patients, mature sperm can be obtained by the TESE technique. The ROSI technique can be used in those patients in whom mature sperm cannot be obtained by TESE. This is the reason it is used in people who have little or no chance of getting results from IVF or other assisted reproductive treatments. Pregnancy success with the ROSI technique, which has found a new place in assisted reproductive treatment, is known to be around 20%. Arguably, this is the only option available for people who are diagnosed with azoospermia who want to have children with their own cells.
