Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hakan Birkent was born in 1972 in. He was born in 1972 in Elazag, Turkey.
After completing his primary and secondary education in Elazig, he joined the GATA Military Medical College in 1990.
After graduation, he served in the Public Security Command between 1997 and 1999.
Then, Prof. Birkent started specialization at the ENT Department of GATA and graduated in 2002. Immediately afterwards, he was assigned to the Gendarmerie Hospital in Ankara.
In 2005, he began working as an assistant professor in the Department of ENT at GATA, and between 2007 and 2008, he worked on "Methods for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Voice and Swallowing Disorders" in the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Washington.
The specialist has also contributed to developments carried out at the Department of Laryngology in Seattle, USA. He has participated as a speaker and teacher in international and national scientific meetings, conferences, panels and seminars, especially on voice problems, swallowing disorders and airway strictures.
