Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tahsin Ali Zarch

Assoc. Dr. Tahsin Ali Zarch was born in 1960 in Ankara, where he completed his primary and secondary education.

The specialist has 31 years of experience in the field of functional neurosurgery, which is his specialty to this day. He has performed more than 1,300 surgical interventions for Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders, as well as more than 800 brain battery placement surgeries.

Education:

In 1983, he graduated in medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of Hacettepe University and became a doctor.
Between 1983-1985 the specialist underwent his compulsory internship in Gaziantep.
In 1988 he started his specialization at the Faculty of Medicine, Marmara University, Department of Neurosurgery.
He completed his education at the Institute of Neurosciences in Glasgow in 1990, after which he undertook several training courses and participated in:

• British Council in Glasgow and Edinburgh
• Zaragoza, Spain in 1991;
• Jerusalem , Israel in 1992;
• Bruges, Belgium in 1993;
• In 1994, he attended the World Federation of Neurosurgery Society (WFNS) training courses in Antalya, Turkey.
• In March 1994, he completed his Master's degree in neurophysiology at the Institute of Health Sciences, Marmara University.

In September 1994, he completed the fifth of the European Association of Neurosurgery (EANS) training courses in Izmir, Turkey, passed the examinations and received his EANS diploma.
During that year, he practiced in the Department of Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital and participated in clinical trials.

Professional Experience:

• Assoc. Tahsin Ali Zarch returned from the USA in 1997 and started working in a private hospital "American Hospital",Istanbul. There the specialist performed functional neurosurgical interventions and brain bypass placement with the technique of recording and stimulation of microelectrodes at the level of a single cell, which is done only in a few places in the World.
• In 2009, the specialist also started working at the Medicalpark Bahçelievler Hospital.
• In 2015, she started performing surgical interventions at Medipol Mega Hospital, Istanbul, and in 2018, she also started examining and consulting patients at the Movement Disorders Center of Medipol University.
• Currently, the specialist diagnoses and treats his patients at Medipol Mega Hospital, Istanbul.
